Soap Gets In Her Eyes

Bath splattered with shampoo,
parents both soaked through, oooh,
wafts of steam arise,
baby cries and cries,
soap gets in her eyes.

They choose mild wash instead,
put drip rails ‘round her head, oooh,
goggles she defies,
whatever Daddy tries
soap gets in her eyes.

She loves goo, she smears her hair with glue,
she seeks puddles on each path,
But at night she screams and storms and fights
to go without her bath.

Those shrieks throughout the years,
tides of bubbly tears, oooh,
men have won the skies,
what wonders they devise,
still soap gets in her eyes.
